Album Review: Last Stop China Town – Into The Volcano
Last Stop China Town have been making quite a lot of friends over the last few years, picking up some fairly high profile support slots, and this, their second album, could go a way to making them some more.
A classic heavy metal sound is the backing for most of this album, with thundering bass, fast paced drumming and the requisite twiddly guitar moments, but also taking an influence from the modern metal and hardcore scenes, chucking in the odd death-vocal into the otherwise melodic-but-heavy mix.
None of this is particularly new or different, but nevertheless Into The Volcano is a beast of an album that stands up well in the increasingly crowded area of metal in which they play.
