Demo Review: The Electric Wasted
The Electric Wasted are sleazy glam hard-rock, and are from Barcelona, not LA. But then most of the sleaze rock that’s been through here the last few years hasn’t been from LA either, so nothing new there.
And again like most of the aforementioned sleaze rock of the last few years, there are no surprises to be found on this record. It’s a good solid rock n roll sound, in the bluesy rock metal vein, but the main stand out point is that Electric Wasted actually have some songs too.
Strongest track is Sex and Violence, hardly a novel theme, but done well, with a decent groove, a catchy chorus and a decent (but not wanky) solo. They are let down however by resorting to a Guns n Roses cover in It’s So Easy, but if and when they forge their own identity, they could well be one worth watching.
