Single Review: We The Faceless – Isle Of Dogs
Opening with a slightly demonic guitar line, Isle of Dogs takes the more manic edge of grunge and makes it really nasty.
Dark and bleak, it’s no surprise that by the end of this track the previously Ozzy style vocals grow into a distorted and FX-laden growl.
It’s hard to tell on the basis of this single, as there’s quite a lot going on, but I think We The Faceless could have something here with their slightly unhinged grunge, brought up to date a bit with some modern hardcore stylings. The B-side Hollow does detract slightly though, being basically an acoustic-led Nirvana moment, so we’ll have to wait and see.
