13 February 1970 was the day Black Sabbath released their self-titled debut album. On the same day 42 years later it’s time for an other heavy rocking English giant to further pollute the ears of the UK audience. Orange Goblin launches “A Eulogy For The Damned” which is the bands 7th studio album but the first one on their new label Candlelight Records.
I don’t think Orange Goblin need any introduction. Their heavy stoner rock (or whatever you wanna call it) speaks for itself. This is straight on beer drinkin’, hell raisin’ party music. A band like Orange Goblin is a bit like Motörhead, you know what you’ll get and you know you want it! Like Ben Ward sings in “Acid Rain” – “Something is different yet always the same”.
“A Eulogy For The Damned” contains 10 killer tunes that all will tear your eardrums out. So get your lazy ass to the off license and buy some extra long Rizla’s (if you’re into that) and a six pack of brewskies and let’s get this party started…
Released on 13/02/2012 on Candlelight Records.
