I honestly must admit that Corrosion Of Conformity are a band I haven’t listened much to. Even though I don’t have much knowledge of the band’s back catalogue I have to say that their new self titled effort is pretty wicked.
11 sludgy tracks and by the second one I’ve already found my favourite. It’s the very Black Sabbath sounding “River Of Stone” (think “Planet Caravan” when the song starts to space out halfway through). “Leeches” is almost old school hardcore just to continue with the instrumental “El Lamento de las Cabras”.
I’m not gonna go through every song on the album, I’m sure most of you guys know Corrosion Of Conformity by now.
It’s an extremely well sounding and well played record and I love how it goes from mellow grooves just to switch gear into high speed. There’s not a single bad word I can write about this. I like it a lot.
