‘Bohemian Rhapsody’ is the third bestselling single of all time in the UK and celebrates 40 years since release this year.
To mark this great occasion in the passing of time, RnR Brew Ltd – the team behind the hugely successful Killer Queen Vodka which w
as recently awarded Double Gold at the prestigious WSWA blind tasting competitions in the U.S. – in conjunction with Queen, are launching Queen Bohemian Lager. Now, not only will this famous song ring true to us all, we will now be able to taste the song in all of its glory!
Pilsner lager, has always been a favourite of Queen and the one and only Freddie Mercury, as many glasses of beer sat on top of Freddie’s grand piano for him and the band to enjoy during the many classic Queen concerts.
Earlier this year the band played in Prague, where they enjoyed the world’s best pilsner beer where it has been produced for centuries, Bohemian Czech Pilsner.
The original Queen crest that graces the Queen Bohemian Lager was designed by Freddie while he was a student at Ealing Art College in London, where he earned a diploma in art and graphic design. Those were the days that a young band grew to become one of the ‘Greatest Bands of all Time.’
The pilsner lager was born out of Plzen in the western half of the Czech Republic and previously part of the of Bohemian Kingdom back in the 1840’s and became known as the Bohemian Pilsner. The brewery that was established in 1551 is based in Southern Bohemia; a region of soft water, charming countryside and great beer.
Queen Lager has taken everything that is unique and original from Pilsner, combined it with that special Queen ingredient and produced a golden, hoppy lager with an IBU of 33 and ABV of 4.7%.
Using only Czech ingredients, Queen pilsner is produced adhering to strict EU requirements for PGI (Protected Geographical Indication) certification, as granted to products of special quality and produced within designated areas in this case in the Czech republic, its similar to Champagne in the Champagne region of France.
Queen Bohemian lager has only 3 ingredients (brewed to strict Czech purity laws): Soft artesian water, Czech barley malt and Noble Saaz hops and being bottom fermented so not overly gassy while lagering at 1 to 4 C for a minimum of 30 days to perfect its set of flavours before bottling.
Queen Lager is brewed and bottled in the Kingdom of Bohemia, Czech Republic for RnR Brew Ltd. Under licence with Bravado International Group. You will be able to ‘Break Free the Bohemian’ initially in UK and Europe this summer with a worldwide release following.
