Fundraising Campaign Launched After Scott Sorry’s Brain Tumour Diagnosis

Friends and bandmates are rallying to Scott Sorry’s aid after the Wildhearts bassist was recently diagnosed with a brain tumour.

Speaking about his former Amen bandmate, guitarist Rich Jones said: “The doctors have described it as a 2-inch cystic tumour on the left side of his brain, and it’s currently affecting his speech and motor functions. Right now he’s in for observation and they expect to perform surgery on him on 26th Dec. We’re all pulling for Scott and if anyone can get through this thing it’s him, but right now we have to just wait and see.”

Jones has set up a GoFundMe campaign for his friend to raise a target of $25,000 to help pay for Sorry’s medical bills in the US. Other fundraising activities are also being planned by fans of the various groups he’s appeared with over the past couple of decades.
