A year ago, Sonisphere. Knebworth Park. Thunder played their last gig to an adoring festival audience. That day, the sun set on an 18 year history of a band frequently referred to as one of the greatest British, good time rock n’ roll bands. It’s 18 accurately, we don’t count the 2 year split. Relentless touring seems to be an ordinary way of life for Danko Jones. It’s called “Below The Belt” and in Danko Jone style, he’s touring it like there’s no tomorrow. Nix caught up with Danko who talks frankly about his new material and the demise of ‘great’ rock n’ roll prior to their only UK show this round.
