Here at Pure Rawk we are very pleased to see Saint Agnes out in London again, and accompanied by long term buddies Sly Persuaders, who we’re also big fans of! Even better is that it’s all for a good cause, as the event is a fundraiser for Solace Women’s Aid.
Under the banner of Rock Against Violence 2017, Power Of Solace (Solace’s fundraising committee) have teamed up this year with garage rock label extraordinaire Roadkill Records to put on one hell of a show. Joining Saint Agnes and Sly Persuaders, will be the also excellent Dead Coast and the unknown to us but probably pretty good Wild Things and Plum. As well as the bands, there will also be an auction and raffle prizes on the night.
In the era where men like Harvey Weinstein are finally being called out on their behaviour, it is ever more important to support charities like Solace, who provide support for women and children affected by domestic and sexual violence. Since 2011, Rock Against Violence has become Solace’s annual flagship music event, which raised £26,000 last year. This year they are aiming to hit £30,000!
